The latest numbers are out and they show sector Exchange Traded Funds are winning over investors. Data from Financial Research Corp. shows the ETF industry held $263 billion in assets at the end of September. Sector ETFs have gained $6.7 billion for 2005 (through August) while sector index mutual funds captured $5.3 billion in the same period. Reasons for the closing gap include increasing awareness and cost.
