ETF Trends publisher Tom Lydon joined Jeff Macke of Yahoo Finance to discuss consumer discretionary exchange traded funds and the boost these ETFs have been getting from plummeting oil prices.
Consumer discretionary ETFs, such as the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (NYSEArca: XLY), have been boosted this year by shares of Amazon (NasdaqGS: AMZN) and Dow components Home Depot (NYSE: HD) and Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS), among others. Lydon and Macke also discussed the impact an interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve could potentially have on the discretionary sector.
