Investors will now enjoy greater choice and flexibility to buy and sell commission-free ETFs on TD’s brokerage platform that cover 77 Morningstar categories, including sector and commodity coverage, along with the dirt-cheap 15 Portfolio ETFs or core investment strategies that State street Global Advisors’ SPDR Business just rolled out on Monday.
“TD Ameritrade has been a great collaborator,” Nick Good, co-head of the Global SPDR business at SSGA, said in a note. “With their help, and by repurposing existing SPDR ETFs, we have been able to offer investors a very compelling solution for their portfolios.”
TD Ameritrade has about $135 billion in ETF assets on its platform overall, it said. About $50 billion of those assets are in commission-free ETFs, the Wall Street Journal reports.
