ProShares Alternative Retail ETF CLIX Up 28.8%

The Long Online/Short Stores ETF is a type of long-short strategy and the first ETF to track the potential growth of online companies while benefiting from the decline of bricks and mortar retailers. Specifically, CLIX reflects the ProShares Long Online/Short Stores Index, which combines a 100% long portfolio of on-line and non-traditional retailers with a 50% short position in bricks and mortar retailers.

CLIX includes long positions in many online retailers, including Amazon 25.3%, Alibaba 15.8%, ETsy 6.3%, Shutterfly 4.9% and Netflix 4.9%, among others. On the other hand, top short positions include Finish Line 2.4%, Caleres 2.2%, DSW Inc 2.1%, Dillards Inc 2.1% and Macy’s 2.1%.
