ETF of the Week: WisdomTree Barclays Yield Enhanced U.S. Short-Term Aggregate Bond Fund (BATS: SHAG)

ETF Trends publisher Tom Lydon discussed the  WisdomTree Barclays Yield Enhanced U.S. Short-Term Aggregate Bond Fund (BATS: SHAG) on this week’s “ETF of the Week” podcast with Chuck Jaffe on the MoneyLife Show.

SHAG seeks to seeks to track the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Short Aggregate Enhanced Yield Index.

When it comes to boosting income, investors typically have to take on additional risk to get the additional yield, potentially investing in high-yield bonds, emerging market bonds or other higher-risk assets. But SHAG, the complement to the popular WisdomTree Barclays Yield Enhanced U.S. Aggregate Bond Fund (AGGY), WisdomTree believes there is a simple, rules-based approach to enhancing short-term yield of the Agg, using the same components but without having to take on those additional risks.
