ETF Trends publisher Tom Lydon appeared on Facebook Live on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday afternoon.

He was joined by the NYSE’s Judy Shaw and Doug Yones, head of ETP listings.

Lydon talked about the $120 billion in ETF inflows year-to-date, and discussed what’s new in the world of ETFs.

One topic discussed was the SEC recently rejecting the Winklevoss’ proposed bitcoin ETF, citing that the rules of a national securities exchange be designed to prevent fraudulent and manipulative acts and practices and to protect investors and public interest

The ETF itself was not the problem, but the underlying bitcoin security. Regulators are worried about bitcoin’s nature, especially in light of headlines over the years concerning the safety of the digital currency and the unregulated nature of the asset.

Another topic was millennials and ETFs, and how younger generations are increasing their holdings of ETFs at a quicker pace than older, wealthier investors.
