Last week’s inflows to major exchange traded funds indicate investors remain devoted to international funds and that devotion is coming at the expense of select U.S. equity ETFs.
Three of the top five asset-gathering ETFs last week were international, but all five of the ETFs hit by the worst outflows were U.S. equity funds. The Deutsche X-trackers MSCI EAFE Hedged Equity ETF (NYSEArca: DBEF) and the WisdomTree Europe Hedged Equity Fund (NYSEArca: HEDJ) continue to lead in terms of assets gathered.
There are also continued signs of investors returning to emerging markets and high-yield bond ETFs.
