Looking ahead at the anticipated start of U.S. banks earnings reports on April 14, Thomson Reuters expects six largest firms – Bank of America (NYSE: BAC), Citigroup (NYSE: C), Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM), Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) and Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) – to reveal $21.4 billion in total profit in the first quarter, up 16% year-over-year. IAI includes a 9.6% tilt toward GS and 8.6% in MS.

Additionally, observers anticipate that drag from legal fees could be much lighter. Meanwhile, banks’ fixed-income trading businesses could have also turned around.
