Jefferies analysts argue that this could be a “watershed moment” for China’s environmental policy. Consequently, the firm believes investors should jump into green energy stocks and shun big oil and coal.
“We believe the campaign to clean up China’s environment could become as intense as the anti-corruption campaign,” Jefferies analyst said. “Obvious beneficiaries are wind, solar, gas distributors, nuclear and environment services sector.”
