Direxion Investments Senior Vice President Mike Eschmann joined ETF Trends Publisher Tom Lydon at Charles Schwab Impact Conference in Denver to talk about the firm’s expanding lineup of strategic beta exchange traded funds.
Eschmann highlighted the Direxion All Cap Insider Sentiment Shares (NYSEArca: KNOW), an ETF comprised of 100 of the top publicly-traded companies in the S&P 1500 index that reflect positive sentiment among those “insiders” closet to the company’s business.
“It’s a well-known strategy in the hedge fund space,” said Eschmann. “Essentially, you’re looking at companies where insiders are buying up shares of that company in the open market. The strategy looks at strong insider and analyst revisions.”
KNOW is up 18% year-to-date compared to a 12.1% gain for the S&P 500.
