A Pleasant Surprise Among Small-Cap ETFs

Investors do not have to pay up to be involved with PSCT. The ETF’s P/E ratio of 20.7 and price-to-book ratio of 2.42 compare favorably with a P/E of 20.1 and a price-to-book ratio of four on the Powershares QQQ (NasdaqGM: QQQ), the NASDAQ-100 tracking ETF, according to PowerShares data.

Underscoring PSCT’s 2014 strength, all 10 of the ETF’s top-10 holdings, a group that combines for nearly a quarter of the fund’s weight, are up this year and seven of those stocks have posted double-digit gains.
