BlackRock has previously said it would like to see the European ETF market become more competitive and it looks like that is gradually happening.
State Street’s (NYSE: STT) State Street Global Advisors is gaining assets in Europe while WisdomTree (NasdaqGS: WETF) bought Boost ETP earlier this to increase its European footprint. First Trust has also said it would like to expand its presence in Europe.
