U.S. stocks got a reprieve from a rocky September and disappointing start to October on Friday when the U.S. Labor Department said employers in the world’s largest economy added 248,000 jobs in September.

That topped estimates calling for the addition of 215,000 new jobs and helped drive the unemployment rate down to 5.9%. Perhaps Friday’s ebullience will get October, typically a volatile month for equities, going on a better track.

Time will tell, but for now, let’s have a look at some of this week’s most important stories pertaining to exchange traded funds.
