First Trust Senior Vice President and ETF Strategist Ryan Issakainen and Senior Vice President for National Accounts Andrew Subramanian joined ETF Trends Publisher Tom Lydon at the Morningstar ETF Conference in Chicago to discuss the growth of First Trust.
Illinois-based First Trust is now the sixth-largest U.S. ETF manager with $28.6 billion in assets under management. Subramanian highlighted First Trust’s growing lineup of AlphaDEX ETFs, which now includes about 40 ETFs, and increased use of those funds by financial advisors.
Issakainen discussed First Trust’s foray into actively managed funds, among other topics. First Trust now offers 12 actively managed ETFs, six of which debuted this year.
