Boom Goes the Dynamite? S&P 500 ETFs Violate 200-Day Line

In a non-technical sign of how investors are feeling about stocks at the moment, eight of the top 10 ETFs for fourth-quarter inflows are bond funds, a roster that includes notable names such as theiShares Barclays 1-3 Year Treasury Bond Fund (NYSEArca: SHY), Vanguard Total Bond Market ETF (NYSEArca: BND) and the iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (NYSEArca: AGG). On the other hand, nine of the 10 worst ETFs in terms of fourth-quarter outflows are equity-based funds.Between Sept. 26 and Oct. 8, U.S. bond ETFs added $9.1 billion in new assets, according to BlackRock data.
