MLPI has an annualized yield of 4.67%, but risk-tolerant investors craving more yield can consider the ETRACS 2xMonthly Leveraged Long Alerian MLP Infrastructure Index ETN (NYSEArca: MLPL).
MLPL tracks the Alerian MLP Index (AMZI), the same underlying index followed by MLPI. That is a good thing today as MLPL is up 8.3% on volume that is already more than double the daily average. MLPL’s annualized yield is 10.16%, according to UBS data.
MLPI has pulled in almost $364 million in new assets this year while MLPL has seen $16.6 million of inflows.
