“ETFs tend to be significantly less expensive than active mutual funds. For example, BSV has a net expense ratio of 0.10%, which is a fraction of the size of the average short investment-grade debt mutual fund in S&P Capital IQ’s database (0.80% expense ratio). Aided by the low expense ratio and tight spread, S&P Capital IQ views positively BSV’s cost factors,” added S&P Capital IQ.

BSV’s 0.1% annual fee is lower than 88% of rival funds, according to Vanguard.
