XTN has been an impressive asset gatherer in its own right as almost $124 million of its $211.5 million in assets under management have come into the fund just this year.

“Year to date through June 17, XTN has risen 13.2% outperformed the 10.1% return for IYT. However, over the three years, XTN has a higher beta (1.17 vs. 1.08) relative to the S&P 500 Index. If industrials

remain in favor, XTN might continue to outperform, but of course past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results,” said S&P Capital IQ.

XTN charges 0.35% per year while IYT’s annual fee is 0.46%.
