iShares to Boost Global Low Vol ETF Lineup

BlackRock’s (NYSE: BLK) iShares unit, the world’s largest issuer of exchange traded funds, will add to its lineup of low volatility ETFs Thursday with the introduction of three new funds.

All three new ETFs will trade on the New York Stock Exchange. The new ETFs are the iShares MSCI Asia ex-Japan Minimum Volatility ETF (NYSEArca: AXJV), the iShares MSCI Europe Minimum Volatility ETF (NYSEArca: EUMV) and the iShares MSCI Japan Minimum Volatility ETF (NYSEArca: JPMV).

The iShares line of low volatility ETFs currently includes three global offerings: The $1.9 billion iShares MSCI USA Minimum Volatility ETF (NYSEArca: EEMV), the $1.1 billion iShares MSCI EAFE Minimum Volatility ETF (NYSEArca: EFAV) and the $1.1 billion iShares MSCI All Country World Minimum Volatility ETF (NYSEArca: ACWV).

The iShares MSCI Japan Minimum Volatility ETF will be the first country-specific minimum volatility ETF to come to market from any issuer.
