Short Duration Junk Bond ETFs in the Limelight

While often mentioned in the same breath as HYG and JNK, the AdvisorShares Peritus High Yield ETF (NYSEArca: HYLD) is actively managed, meaning the management team at Peritus can nimbly adjust to various interest environments.

As of April 27, HYLD had a duration of 2.53 years, or 1.15 years less than that of the Barclays U.S. High Yield Index, according to AdvisorShares data. HYLD has a 30-day SEC yield of 7.91%. Those are likely two reasons HYLD has brought in almost $469 million this year, or more than half its current AUM total.
