ETF Chart of the Day: Awesome Actives

In the “Total Bond Market” ETP category, BOND is now the fifth largest entry, behind four straight passive index approaches (BND, AGG, BSV, and BIV notably in terms of their asset sizes from largest to smallest).

Those whom had, and may still have their doubts about the long term future of actively managed ETF strategies in the U.S. marketplace likely should check their numbers once again here in 2014, as MINT is the largest actively managed ETF in the U.S. marketplace period, across all asset classes, with more than $4 billion in AUM, followed by BOND at this point, in what looks like a very deep market in terms of potentially billions of investor assets tied up currently in either actively managed Bond Mutual Funds if not some of the passive index ETF strategies we mentioned earlier.
