ETFs Could Benefit From the Latest Pharma Takeover Rumor

Although Astra is one of the world’s largest pharma companies and the tenth-largest British company by market value, most mainstream U.K. ETFs do not have large allocations to the company. The U.K. with the largest allocation to Astra is the WisdomTree United Kingdom Hedged Equity Fund (NasdaqGM: DXPS).

DXPS, which hedges against fluctuations in the GBP/USD currency pair, has a 5.7% weight to Astra making it the ETF’s largest individual holding although two Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE: RDS-A) securities combine for10.6% of the ETF’s weight.
