A Buffett Pop for Energy ETFs?

“In the new filing, Berkshire revealed it has sold more of that Conoco stake, reducing its holdings by 44 percent to 13.53 million shares. That stake is worth just under $1 billion at Thursday’s close,” CNBC reported.

Conoco is a top-10 holding in all of the aforementioned ETFs. Berkshire’s other major energy holding is refiner Phillips 66 (NYSE: PSX), formerly part of Conoco.

With the addition of Exxon back to the Berkshire portfolio, the conglomerate owns 10 of the 30 Dow components.  That group, which also includes American Express (NYSE: AXP), General Electric (NYSE: GE) and Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), combine for over 42% of the weight of the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (NYSEArca: DIA).
