For September, the top ETF performers included the Global X FTSE Greece 20 ETF (NYSEArca: GREK), Global X Silver Miners ETF (NYSEArca: SIL) and United States Natural Gas Fund (NYSEArca: UNG).
After a steep drop off in August, natural gas prices were recovering over September as the summer heat forced many to stay indoors and keep their air conditioners running.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 2.1% over the month ended Sept. 26. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite added 0.8% and the S&P 500 increased 1.8%.
Over the past three months ended Sept. 26, the Dow gained 7.7%, the Nasdaq increased 8.4% and the S&P 500 was 9.2% higher.
