Retail ETFs Higher After March Shopping Spree | Page 2 of 2 | ETF Trends

Eleven of thirteen retail sub-categories showed improvements, including electronics, clothing and furniture.

Store chain data for more than 20 companies tracked by Retail Metrics also increased 3.9% in March, higher than the 3.3% projections, as consumers took advantage of discounts and early spring shopping. Gap (NYSE: GPS) sales jumped 8% while Target (NYSE: TGT) and Macy’s (NYSE: M) both posted 7.3% gains.
