Additionally, Frederick believes that Greece no longer poses a threat, as the likelihood of a default has mostly been mitigated.

“Greece is off the table in the near-term,” Frederick noted.

Eric Pollackov, managing director of ETF Capital Markets at Charles Schwab, commented that clients on the Schwab platform are using ETFs to express opinions, as the investment product provide greater flexibility and access to a wide range of asset classes.

Recently, the Schwab U.S. Broad Market ETF (NYSEArca: SCHB) joined the select club of $1 billion funds. Currently, about 11% of ETFs on the market have attracted $1 billion in assets under management.
