U.S. stock exchange traded funds jumped Thursday after second-quarter GDP was revised higher and weekly jobless claims dipped below the key 400,000 level.

Second-quarter GDP was revised to 1.3% from the previous estimate of 1%, the Commerce Department said before the opening bell.

Separately, the Labor Department said initial jobless claims fell to 391,000 in the latest week, much lower than economists had forecast.

SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (NYSEArca: DIA) rallied 2.3% as the Dow climbed over 200 points. Friday is the last trading day of the third quarter. [All Dressed Up: Stock ETFs Rally Into End of Quarter]
