management fees

    Hi, I'm new to the stock market and etfs. I read that we need to pay management fees in etf. Is that the single buyer (like me) or the fund management company? Thanks

    You will not be billed those management fees. They are taken out of the fund to pay the management company, the same as a mutual fund. For example, click on this link and scroll down: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=SRS

    You will notice the fees are almost 1%. How ever the fund performs, it will be reduced by that almost 1% to cover the expenses. Everyone's got to eat!
