Hi - Is there a program that will let you set an alert for all ETF's for when they just cross above the moving averge?

If end of day data is sufficient for your needs you could sign up for a free account at www.prorealtime.com then you can set up a screen.

    Hi Mike . . .
One of your biggest problems might be that the screens will not give you results for ETF's only. If you go to Finviz, you can use their screener. Once there, in the gray bar that says "filters", click All. Then under industry, you can select Exchange Traded Funds.

Then you can enter other criteria below that. There are limits to that screener, and you would have to run it once each day, but I don't know of another one that will screen out just ETF's. Maybe you could do a Google search for ETF screeners.

    Good Luck

Thanks for the help. With the prorealtime, I could not figure out how to set a screen for only ETF's. I was able to do this as suggested on the Finviz.I didn't see a setting/alert to tell me when an ETF recently crossed above the 200 day moving average, other than sorting by that column and looking at ones that are a small percentage above. I'll try a google search on ETF screeners next.

With prorealtime you need to create a custom list of ETFs (or any other shares etc) and run the screen on that list.
