JA Solar Earnings Beat Lifts Green Energy ETFs | ETF Trends

Exchange traded funds that invest in clean energy rose Tuesday, helped by a rally in JA Solar (NasdaqGS: JASO) following upbeat quarterly results.

JA Solar shares rose more than 5% on Tuesday. The firm was out with first-quarter earnings that topped Wall Street estimates.

The stock accounts for nearly 4% of Market Vectors Solar Energy ETF (NYSEArca: KWT), which rose nearly 1%.

JA Solar is also held in Guggenheim Solar ETF (NYSEArca: TAN), iShares S&P Global Clean Energy (NasdaqGM: ICLN) and PowerShares WilderHill Clean Energy (NYSEArca: PBW). [First Solar Results Cloud Energy ETFs.]

However, lower guidance from Trina Solar (NYSE: TSL) weighed on the group Tuesday. The stock lost nearly 1%.
