The PowerShares QQQ (NasdaqGM: QQQ) managed to tread water Wednesday afternoon despite weakness in components Broadcom (NasdaqGS: BRCM) and Cisco Systems (NasdaqGS: CSCO).
Broadcom and Cisco were among the most actively traded stocks on the Nasdaq.
Broadcom shares dropped more than 10% after the semiconductor firm was out with a second-quarter revenue outlook that disappointed investors.
Meanwhile, Cisco was among the worst performers in the Dow with a loss of more than 1% in recent trading.
