Exchange traded funds that invest in miner shares were down along with U.S. stock indexes Monday, lagging ETFs that hold gold and silver bullion.
Global X Silver Miners (NYSEArca: SIL) slipped more than 4% in morning trades while Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSEArca: GDX) dropped roughly 2%.
