Exchange traded funds (ETFs) that invest in Treasury bonds finally caught a bid Tuesday as investors moved into bonds and sold riskier assets such as stocks and commodities.

The iShares Barclays 20+ Year Treasury Bond (NYSEArca: TLT) was up more than 1% in late-afternoon trading Tuesday.

Treasury yields have been trying to break out lately, which has been weighing on bond prices and ETFs. Interest rates are likely moving higher, says Micheal Kahn of Barrons. [Treasury ETFs Caught In Downdraft.]
