Many Domestic and Global ETFs Hit All-time Highs as Dow Breaks Record | ETF Trends

Exchange traded fund (ETF) investors cheered from the sidelines today as the S&P’s 500 index and Dow Jones’ industrials soared to all-time highs today. Strong retail sales news helped give investors optimism regarding the economy. The Dow posted the biggest one-day percentage gain in nearly four years; up 270 points. 

Some of the best performing ETFs today included:
  • Claymore/BNY BRIC (EEB) – up 3.63%
  • iShares MSCI Brazil Index (EWZ) – up 3.37%
  • BLDRS Emerging Markets 50 ADR Index (ADRE) – up 3.04%
In addition, many of the ProShares leveraged ETFs were up even more because of the two beta leveraged feature.
