Financial Advisors Look to Smart Beta ETFs to Manage Volatility

As investors and financial advisors consider the potential risks in the markets ahead, many are looking toward multi-factor smart beta exchange traded fund strategies that aim to limit downside drawdowns and still capture upside potential.

ETF Trends publisher Tom Lydon spoke with Julian DelSignore, Executive Director and Head of ETF Distribution at JP Morgan, at the Inside ETFs conference that ran Jan. 22-25, 2017 to talk about what financial advisors are looking for in the markets today.

“We were consistently hearing what [advisors]were looking for were products and investments solutions that help manage volatility and increase diversification among their portfolios,” DelSignore said.

Consequently, J.P. Morgan has approached the multi-factor ETF space to meet the increased demand for this targeted volatility strategy among financial advisors.
