Dzanis on How Advisors Can Better Work With Millennials

Marie Dzanis, head of intermediary distribution for Northern Trust’s (NasdaqGS: NTRS) FlexShares exchange traded funds unit joined ETF Trends Publisher Tom Lydon at the Morningstar ETF Conference in Chicago to talk about how financial advisors can improve their relationships with younger, more technology savvy clients, including millennials.

“There’s going to b $30 trillion in wealth transfer taking place between now and 2035,” said Dzanis. “The challenge is the average age of the financial advisor is 57 years old so they need to effectively communicate with this younger generation.”

Dzanis notes that access and transparency are key themes with millennial investors, which highlights the attractiveness of ETFs to younger investors due to the reputation ETFs have robust transparency.
