iShares to Roll Out New Muni Bond ETF Thursday

BlackRock’s (NYSE: BLK) iShares unit, the world’s largest ETF issuer, will introduce the iShares 2019 AMT-Free Muni Term ETF (NYSEArca: MUAH) Thursday.

The new ETF will track the S&P AMT-Free Municipal Series 2019 Index, which holds investment-grade municipal bonds maturing after May 31 and before September 1, 2019. MUAH will charge 0.3% per year.

iShares currently offers nine municipal bond ETFs, including the iShares Short-Term National AMT-Free Muni Bond ETF (NYSEArca: SUB) and the iShares National AMT-Free Muni Bond ETF (NYSEArca: MUB).

MUAH will be the fifth ETF introduced by iShares just this week. On Tuesday, the firm launched the iShares Treasury Floating Rate Bond ETF (NYSEArca: TFLO) along with three currency hedged ETFs.
