Rydex/SGI is seeking a Wealth Management Associate (internal sales consultant) to work with the Diversified Financial Services (B/D) Miami territory team. Rydex|SGI has assets across various fund strategies, ranging from Value to Growth investing and from Global to Alternative capabilities as well as a full suite of target beta (tactical) investments. The position is based in the firm’s Chicago-area office.
Duties
We are seeking a highly-motivated individual who can work well in a multi-distribution environment and can achieve a significant penetration rate within the Miami Metro market. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop new leads and support existing clients through daily consultative outbound calling.
- Search out new prospects through cold calling and marketing, and support management of leads through maintenance of sales database.
- Coordinate all aspects of territory management with territory Director (external wholesaler). Assist the Director in all sales and marketing related initiatives including assisting in conference calls, due diligence meetings, sales campaigns and provide general sales support. Occasional travel with the Director for sales appointments.
- Exchange follow-up with the Director for client meetings and calls, prospected reps, direct mail responses, web site inquiries, and prospecting initiatives. Work with Director to generate and manage a pipeline of all top prospects, new clients and flow accounts on a weekly basis.
- Database responsibilities include maintaining accurate database contacts, running queries and inputting information for advisors.
- Assist in product rollout marketing strategy – coordinate mailings, e-mail communications, distribution lists and conference calls.
Critical success factors
- Minimum of 3 years of financial services industry experience in mutual funds, alternative products and separately managed accounts
- Territory management and target marketing skills
- Experience, credibility and ability to speak knowledgeably about various investment strategies and products such as mutual funds, SMA, and alternative strategies
- Proficiency with technology
- Presentation and communication skills (must be an excellent listener and verbal communicator)
