ETF InsightsETF Insights, the first free online conference aimed at financial advisors that focuses on exchange traded funds (ETFs) takes place on Dec. 2, 2009. Among the many things ETF advisors will have the change to learn about and discuss is how to get started in putting ETFs to use. There will be sessions for both experienced ETF users and novices. One of the more advanced sessions is a discussion on modern portfolio theory. Among the topics to be addressed include a discussion of why asset allocation isn’t what it used to be, core and explore ideas and whether commodity and currency ETFs have a place in client portfolios.

Speakers include Roger Nusbaum, financial advisor at Your Source Financial; George “Gus” Sauter, CIO at Vanguard; Sam Stovall, Chief Investment Strategist at Standard & Poor’s; and Rudy Aguilera, founding principal and financial advisor at Helios.

At the ETF Insights conference, you’ll be able to hear the opinions and suggestions of some of the biggest names in the ETF industry, including keynote speaker Bill Gross, managing director of PIMCO and PowerShares CEO Bruce Bond.
