Last Call for ETF Book Submissions!

November 08, 2007 at 3:00 pm by Tom Lydon

Toon_bookHi! Remember how we told you we were hard at work on a book about exchange traded funds (ETFs)? We weren’t telling lies. We’re in the home stretch and we have a few holes to plug and your help is needed.

We’re looking for a few of our wise readers to give their thoughts on the following:

  • Currency ETFs
  • Bond ETFs
  • ETFs in 401k plans, and using them as part of your retirement planning in general
  • Long/short ETFs

We’d particularly like to hear from you lurkers who haven’t yet spoken up. Don’t be shy. Give us your thoughts, opinions and experiences and you may very well go down in literary history! You can, of course, remain anonymous in the book if you’d rather not have that kind of fame. Either way, please send us an e-mail or leave us a comment.

Thank you for all of your help!

    To everyone it may concern-

1 more thing….In the investing world/community, typically nothing stays on top forever, right?..sinetimes, oil is more expensive, sometimes gold, sometimes gas etc(moving % to upside)…
well, in our pockets, the average person can feel when as an example gas prices are up, right?….well a way to make $ in opposition of spending, would be to invest in a certain sector, right?….Its kind of hard to do so I feel in terms of buying and selling mutual fund at right time, but that is a great special part of etf investing..If time for gold to go up, one can buy GLD…when time to sell, can do so any day one feels right….
This is in all honesty a great tool we have at our fingertips…

    Regards ands wise ETF investing,

I have recently become very interested in investing in ETF’s. I think writing a book about it is a great idea. I’m sure you will have many interested readers.

Being a Canadian resident, I hope your book is not too geared towards American investors. I would be interested to know what role currency ETF’s, currency-hedged ETF’s, as well as ETF’s that can be bought in different currencies should have in a portfolio.
