Is the EAFE ETF Index Phasing Out?

Eafe_etf_index In the early years of international exchange traded funds (ETFs), the EAFE (Europe, Asia and Far East) Index used to be the benchmark to follow. However, with so much new competition, maybe EAFE isn’t the catch-all for international investing that it used to be, as Jim Wiandt for Index Universe says. Today, there are indexes that cover specific foreign countries (such as the MSCI Germany Index), foreign regions and emerging markets. While EAFE might not be on its way out, its 15 minutes of fame are over.
