ETFs-Don’t Know What You Got Till It’s Gone

2266926009 Alternative energy has become in-vogue, with the Supreme Court, Wall Street, exchange traded funds (ETFs), fashionistas and even the Academy Awards taking notice. The Wall Street Journal looks at personal finance and notes that with oil going over $60 a barrel and the U.S. government looking to rely less on imports, alternative energy sources will be in high demand. Naturally, investors will look to cash in on the alternative energy boom, if not for themselves then for future generations.

The Supreme Court’s recent ruling on greenhouse-gas emissions was a reason for "taking a closer look" at these funds, not to mention Al Gore’s Oscar for "An Inconvenient Truth".

Many of the ETFs and mutual funds focusing on alternative energy invest in companies that produce or use alternative energy from fuels such as biodiesel and ethanol to wind and solar power. A lot has changed since Joni Mitchell and The Ladies of the Canyon first raised environmentalism in mainstream consciousness, with their geodesic domes and lifestyles, but the message is still the same.

As Tom had spoken on I believe CNBC, he mentioned GLD....well, in regards to higher expenses in some places, like energy, gas, wherever it may be...well, with the new ETF WORLD......your gas may cost you more $ in your car...but can do well in your portfolio....Energy as well....Pretty much anything that's value goes up in real commodities or products....if you own a designated etf in that space at right time.....you can profit there as well....That is indeed what I find very special in ETF WORLD!
Once again, it's a great place
    Wise investing,

    To everyone here,

Yesturday, Thursday and today are perfect examples....you didn't love the market right?.....well not a better time to be in etfs and diversified persay opposed to just owning an individual stock that maybe had poor earning...right? Not only in good conditions do I feel etfs are way to go, but bad ones even more so. ETF investing is a very wise choice, I truly feel!
    Have a good weekend-
