Vanguard Mixes ETFs and Mutual Funds | ETF Trends

Vanguard Group Inc. recently launched a mutual fund with exchange traded fund (ETF) shares attached- The Vanguard FTSE All-World ex-U.S. Index Fund. This fund seeks to track the FTSE All-World ex U.S. Index and gives exposure to 95% of the investable developed emerging markets outside the U.S. David Hoffman of InvestmentNews explains the fund invests in large-and mid-cap stocks of companies in 47 countries including Canada. There are three types of shares available – Investor shares, Institutional shares, and ETF shares.  The ETF trades under the symbol VEU and began trading on March 8th.
