ETF Trading on CBSX

Now there is a place to trade stocks, futures, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and options all in one place. The CBOE Stock Exchange, aka CBSX, opened for trading March 5th. This will increase competition all over the exchange community and the continued trend in electronic trading is clear. Trades are implemented through CBOE’s platform,CBOEdirect, which will also support trading of futures and options. Richard Kang for Seeking Alpha remarks we will see how this new exchange will go up against Globex, which handles 70% of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Trading beta, ETFs and derivatives, will definitely grow with institutional investors, hedge funds and individual’s already participating.
