Stockscreen Exchange traded funds (ETFs) had $350 billion in assets including 290 funds at the end of September. As of now, there are more funds in registration than currently listed on U.S. exchanges. In State Streets Global Advisor’s pipeline are ETFs investing in China, Europe and several emerging markets, reported by John Spence for MarketWatch. WisdomTree has also filed to launch 31 new ETFs which will track stocks in high dividends, REITs, and foreign stocks.  PowerShares filed 35 ETFs focused in international stocks. Barclay’s Global Investors are also adding to their product lineup, including a fund tracking a new preferred stock index from S&P.
