New Commodity ETFs Coming

Images_15More exchange traded commodity funds (ETFs) will hit the market soon. PowerShares has seven ETFs in registration, developed by Deutsche Bank Commodity Services. Investors can expect to see more types of these partnerships where an ETF sponsor already has a framework in place.

Some financial advisors and industry experts don’t agree with the development of more ETFs, writes David Hoffman of InvestmentNews. Some feel these ETFs slice the market up too thin for the individual investor and may cause some to try and time the market.  But these ETFs allow investors the opportunity to invest in markets they would not otherwise.  They are not for every portfolio, so investors should do their homework before jumping in.
