Oil Subsector ETFs

July 11, 2006 at 1:38 am by Tom Lydon

Oilgas Oil seems to be a topic everyone is talking about lately.  And exchange traded fund providers (Barclays iShares and State Street Global Advisors) recently launched oil subsector ETFs to give investors more to talk about.

  • SPDR Oil and Gas Equipment & Services (XES)
  • iShares DJ U.S. Oil Equipment & Services (IEZ)
  • SPDR Oil and Gas Exploration & Drilling (XOP)
  • iShares DJ U.S. Oil and Gas Exploration & Production (IEO)

Roger Nusbaum looks at these ETFs as an attractive opportunity for investors, as he believes energy prices will remain high with global demand growing faster than the supply.
