May ETF Performance Report

Hopes of a recovery in the markets and with exchange traded funds (ETFs) carried on through May.
For the month, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 3.8% for the month. The S&P 500 gained 5.2%, and the Nasdaq rose 3.6%. The top sectors in May were shipping, which jumped 33.9%; the weakest sector was homebuilders, which lost about 12%.
