The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the  Amex are merging and one of the major ETF listing platforms will be no more, reports MutualFundWire. The NYSE Arca platform will pick up an additional 380 Amex-listed ETFs, and according to Jeffrey Ptak, Morningstar’s director of exchange traded securities analysis, this consolidation will lead to "less leverage for ETF providers when negotiating listing fees."
