Fixedincome_etfs Fixed-income exchange traded funds (ETFs) tend to look more attractive, as rates in other areas decline. One of the most popular bond ETFs by volume is the iShares Lehman 20+ Year Treasury Bond Fund (TLT), which is up 2% for the month. Many analysts suggest that stocks and ETFs will continue to decline as the subprime mess spreads. Other popular bond ETFs and their performance for the month include:

  • iShares Lehman Aggregate Bond (AGG) – up 0.7%
  • iShares Lehman 1-3 Year Treasury Bond (SHY) - up 1.0%
  • iShares Lehman 7-10 Year Treasury (IEF) – up 2.5%
